The Charities founders pay all annual administration costs to ensure 100% of funds donated go to the kids and not to a “bloated” charitable organisation.

Our Primary Focus
We aim to distribute a quality, gift-wrapped, hardback children’s book to up to 18,000 disadvantaged children throughout NZ. Looking to distribute approx 17,000 to low decile schools with help of the Duffy books charity. The remainder via Food Banks, Doctors charities, Women’s Shelters and other Children’s charities like the Kindness Collectives – Joy Store.
Santa’s book is all about giving a quality children’s book at Christmas to those kids who, unfortunately, may not receive anything else from Santa this year. We aim to bring a ray of sunshine to a child’s face, while also delivering the joy of reading. At times this is the first book the child will have ever had before. They will write their name in it and cherish it for life, while opening up the fabulous imaginary world of READING.
As part of this initiative, up to 15,000 will be distributed via Duffy, (a fantastic charity distributing books in schools) to primarily decile 1 & 2 schools and up to a further 3,000 books to Doctors and Hospital waiting rooms, together with women’s refuges and social workers. This distribution is to ensure we target the children, who without our support, would not receive anything else at Xmas, while also hopefully encouraging them to enjoy the fun reading can deliver.
2022 was the first year of this initiative and hope that within the next 2 years we will be able to distribute up to 90,000 books to the most disadvantaged kids within NZ. Yet this is only going to be possible with the continued support of generous individual and corporate donations, where 100% of donations go on books to help kids!

The idea is to ensure the money or item donated has an immense “multiplier effect” and massive bang for your buck, helping children.
Example
- If someone wants a trampoline for “little Jonny” as he’s a cute kid who has lost an arm
- The answer is, unfortunately, NO
However, if it was:
Donate a trampoline that would be used as part of an after-school kids club for 30 children during the week. Where the organises would then rent out the Kids Club or just the trampoline to parents at weekends for children’s parties, with the money going to buy more play items for the Kids Club or reimburse We Help U. Then the answer is a definite YES.
- If it was to provide 5,000 books at $30 a book to all Doctor and Hospital waiting rooms – The Answer is, unfortunately, NO
However, if it was to provide 5,000 award-winning books that retail for $30, but the author is willing to distribute them (for $2-3, i.e., 90-94% discount) to all Doctor and Hospital waiting rooms – The answer is a definite yes – as you are distributing 150,000 dollars worth of books to a focused core group for children in need for $10-15k, that will help kids for the next 5-10 years. Then the answer is a definite YES.
